Short Course
Short stature (SS) can be the presenting feature of a wide range of medical conditions including chronic illness, psychosocial deprivation, syndromic, skeletal and endocrine disorders. Growth hormone deficiency (GHD) (primary, secondary or idiopathic) is a less common cause of faltering growth but early diagnosis and treatment can optimise final adult height. This short module outlines to every member of the General Practice Team the benefits of including a routine height check in all consultations with children.
